A Welcome from Cathy Hamilton, Project Manager.Hi. Nice to see you!The specific aim of Tayside Carers Support is to cater for the needs of carers, that is, the families and friends, of those with a mental illness. Any mental illness qualifies for help from the Project. The services of the project are completely free and confidential and we offer advice and information on mental illnesses. We also offer:
Carers do not have to be living with the person who is experiencing mental health difficulties; they just need to care about him or her. Even neighbours can be carers. We also have monthly support group meetings where carers can meet up with people who have similar experiences, to talk, exchange views, support each other and also take part in some fun activities if they wish all in a very relaxed atmosphere. >> More information about out support groups. If you would like to have an informal chat with Cathy please give her a ring on 01382 305712. |
